Full House. May 15 - July 15 2020
Starting with a small selection of artists, Full House slowly grew to include 125 artists. Each week new work was added from community submissions of work. The only prerequisite for an artist's inclusion was proof of supporting a fellow artist or organization financially or otherwise. Each week, the show's growth became a visual representation of the art community's strength.
Using a modified open-source telepresence rover (think 'rc car with a camera'), Watney Rover, you could access and navigate the space from a webpage. The gallery was built from foam core and other simple materials on the table in my studio. So the space was a tangible and miniature exhibition navigated virtually.
Installation of the artwork was done live each week on instagram. These videos can be found on Instagram at @localhostgallery.
